When did you start working for Vitesco Technologies? What role do you have in the company?

In May 2022, I began my journey in Vitesco Technologies as an intern in the Materials and Packaging team. I am currently working as a Materials and Technology Engineer within the same team, in which I started my internship. As a specialist in material evaluation and testing, I focus primarily on thermoplastic materials.

What sparked your interest in pursuing mechanics in your studies?

I have always been fascinated and curious about how things work and the mechanisms behind them.

Since my childhood I have enjoyed activities such as building or repairing things and I was delighted to systematically taking things apart and putting them back together again. These early experiences significantly influenced my decision to study mechanics.

Could you share your experience as an intern at our company? What did you learn and how did it prepare you for your current role?

The internship at Vitesco Technologies was truly a great experience that added value to my technical and professional skills for my current role in the company.

During my internship, I was responsible for various tasks such as material testing and studies on thermoplastic materials. By completing these tasks, I gained valuable technical knowledge and experience that has contributed significantly to my professional growth.

The constructive feedback and guidance provided by my colleagues and my mentor were essential in preparing me for the challenges and responsibilities of my current role.

Describe a situation when you felt particularly empowered in your journey from intern to specialist.

A remarkable moment in my journey from intern to specialist was when I faced a challenging task: evaluating and interpreting some test results for a component. It was my first experience of this type of assessment. I asked the team about how I should approach the problem, they helped me understand the requirements of the task and gave me advice on how to solve it.

This experience highlighted the power of collaboration and support in overcoming challenges, a valuable lesson I learned from my team.

What are some of the most rewarding aspects of your job as a specialist at Vitesco Technologies?

Finding innovative solutions, choosing sustainable materials with minimal environmental impact  and working effectively as a team are the most rewarding aspects of my job.
