Detailed Job Title: EMC Laboratory Intern

 

Overview:

This position will provide an engineering student with opportunities to learn and experience working in an automotive validation test laboratory.  The internship responsibilities will include assisting with the development of new test methods or to tailor existing methods to comply with the latest requirements, as well as hands-on product testing to ensure compliance with specified requirements.  This intern will gain exposure to typical validation techniques, tools, and methods used in the industry today.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support engineering development and validation testing of many automotive electronic components within the Vitesco product portfolio. 
  • Review test specifications, customer standards, and international standards.
  • Apply specifications and standard requirements for product test and measurement.
  • Gather test data and documentation.
  • Create test reports.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Spend time in lab environment running experiments and/or building custom laboratory test equipment.
  • Develop/ design custom fixtures and equipment for testing.

Core Capabilities:

  • Good interpersonal/communication skills and ability to operate within a team environment
  • Good organization/ time management skills, including daily/weekly planning
  • Basic computer skills including common office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project,…)

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited degree university
  • Must maintain a minimum GPA of a 2.8
  • Junior level or higher currently attending a 4 year accredited university pursing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited degree program (Requirement for ALL intern candidates)
