The Intern for the Systems Engineering Team will gain hands-on experience in the technical development of cutting-edge automotive technologies. This role will focus on supporting the team in areas such as Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Requirements, as well as in generic projects for the creation of next-generation products. This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in vehicle access technologies, like Phone as a Key and Smart Access, using technologies such as BLE, NFC, etc.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist in product and test development for sensors (understanding of interactions between physics, mechanical elements, electronics, and software).
- Gain exposure to core technologies like Capacitive sensors, BLE, NFC, CAN, LIN.
- Support in analyzing customer specifications and contribute to the compliance matrix and technical proposals.
- Assist in creating Mechanical, Electrical, and Software ‘Requirements Engineering’ documentation.
- Aid in developing test specifications and support of test equipment in manufacturing plants.
- Coordinate with team members from manufacturing plants.
- Support in the development & validation of lab test stands.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Help in providing technical support for failure analysis of warranty parts and plant rejects.
- Assist in Series Production Product Change Management.
- Learn about new manufacturing and testing technologies.
Core Capabilities:
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrable ability to think logically and solve problems.
- Familiarity with MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Language requirement is English; other languages are a plus.
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Basic understanding of automotive systems engineering concepts.
- Familiarity with electrical/electronic schematics and mechanical blueprints is a plus.
- Must be open to some local and domestic travel.
