Control sourcing process for selection of supplier ▪ Identifies opportunities for generic platform awards ▪ Request for quotation ▪ Cost breakdown analysis to identify main cost drivers ▪ Adherence to supplier and material strategies ▪ Supports / Takes Initiative on final negotiations, collaborative with Catergory Purchasing
Material cost of the BU products in development ▪ Calculate Bill-of-Material (BOM) during acquisition phase with defined tools, e.g. BoCaT ▪ Responsible for meeting BOM cost target before SOP ▪ Design-to-cost activities to achieve material cost committed during acquisition phase (PCIS) Continuely optimize material cost to improve BU profitability ▪ Responsible to perform localization, second sourcing activites ▪ Supports Product Cost Optimization / Cost Reduction Programm / Target To Operation ▪ Contributes to Supplier Collaboration Day (SCD) activities Establish component roadmap based on BU Segment product roadmap ▪ Identifies opportunities and challenges together with R&D on
Segment product roadmap / component technology development ▪ Establishes component technology roadmap / supplier development plan together with CM regarding to Segment requirements on cost, timing and capacity
Purchasing Budget Planning ▪ Consolidates / coordinates global yearly purchasing budget planning, e.g. tooling investment, new part material cost ▪ Other tasks in Budget Planning assigned from global purchasing organization in the year Others: ▪ Other tasks assigned by AP Manager / BU CN PUR Head
Supplier Quality ▪ Actively involve in APQP to support on-time PSW@G70 ▪ Responsible for supplier charge back in term of claim before G80
