Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounting activities of the Company to ensure compliance with IFRS specifically (IAS19, IFRS15, IFRS16, Company policy and guidelines, internal audits, and external regulating bodies.
  • Perform and review monthly balance sheet accounts reconciliation including bank reconciliation
  • Prepare quarterly forecast and annual budget
  • Review and analyze company’s short term and long-term incentives including fringe benefits, and current and previous month results.
  • Process and journal FX revaluation for the two U.S. entities under Vitesco umbrella
  • Responsible for closing the month-end
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of trial balance between Canada and Germany records, ensuring both data are reconciled.
  • Assist team members with internal and external auditors for quarterly, half-year and yearly audit for any queries and audit requests.
  • Handling complex allocations in SAP

 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or foreign equivalent
    • Professional Accounting Designation required (Chartered Professional Accountant)
  • Work Experience:
    • Requires three (3) years’ experience with one (1) in the automotive industry
    • 3 years experience with SAP Enterprise Resource Planning with 1 year of experience in SAP Modules in the automotive industry
    • 3 years experience using Excel to analyze large quantities of data and formulas such as (pivot, sum ifs, VLOOKUP)
    • 1 year experience handling actuarial disclosures for IAS19 specifically defined benefits and defined contribution plans, making adjustments in SAP to tie to the disclosure notes and analyzing the disclosure notes for any discrepancies.
    • 1 year of experience in budgeting and forecasting for compensation, analyzing employee data and the ability to use actual data to create next year budgets as well as forecasting trends based on current actual data.
    • 1 year experience preparing payroll accounts reconciliation using SAP data and backups from the disclosure notes or payroll files.
