Job Description:

  • Responsible for ensuring functional safety within multiple projects described by Vitesco’s process model
  • Responsible for performing Functional Safety management activities according to relevant standards
  • Responsible for safety analysis (e.g. FMEA, FTA, FMEDA)
  • Responsible for project safety plan, DIA with customer and suppliers, project safety case 
  • Develop safety architectures and safety plans to ensure compliance with standards -
  • Responsible for preparing and conducting FSM assessments 
  • Responsible for object reviews for safety relevant work products 
  • Cascade safety requirements to the systems, subsystems, and component levels in product portfolio 
  • Leading and managing functional safety activities during the quote process -
  • Supporting system, hardware, and software evaluation by safety relevant tests 
  • Supporting hardware and software safety requirements -
  • Evaluating customer’s safety requirements and customer’s functional safety concept -
  • Supporting system architecture and system requirements for setting up the technical safety concept 

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field 
  • At least 3 years of system development and functional safety (combined) experience with at least 2 years in automotive industry 
  • 2+ years of experience working with FMEA, FTA, System Architecture tools -
  • Experience with HW Design or SW Design for more than 2 years -
  • Experience in Electrification technologies such as Battery Management and Inverter Technology is strongly preferred 
  • Detailed knowledge and proven experience with ISO26262 
  • Working knowledge of system engineering approaches (requirements engineering / management, functional analysis and allocation, architecture design, validation, and verification) 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good knowledge of software quality, process (ASPICE, CMM) and methodology (AGILE) 
  • Good knowledge of requirement management tools (DOORS, ARTiSAN etc.) -
  • Good knowledge of change and configuration management tools (IMS, MKS, JIRA)
  • Good technical leadership, planning and organization/control skills is a plus
