Lab Tech Intern

Job description:

Control Technology Tech cluster Engineering group at Auburn Hills is seeking a candidate for a Lab Tech

intern position. This individual will be joining highly skilled Lab technicians, tasked with supporting

Engine controller and Electrification project teams.

 

Core responsibilities:

  • Support Prototype coordinator in achieving on-time deliveries of prototype components
  • Perform modifications to electronic circuits, harnesses, load boxes and prototypes based on schematics, wiring diagrams and verbal instructions
  • Provide support to engineering team and technicians in debug of test systems
  • Evaluate, demonstrate and recommend capabilities for off-the-shelf solutions for developing internal company training tools
  • Assist with the fabrication of custom harnesses for various project needs
  • Aid in logging and labeling the new electronic test equipment before releasing to the engineering staff
  • Support Production related activities for engine control units including sealing and crimping sensitive electronic assemblies

 

Job requirements:/Required Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in a US accredited degree program
  • Must maintain a minimum GPA of a 3
  • Must be available to intern longer than summer
  • Familiar with electrical test bench equipment, Oscilloscope, DMM, Power Analyzer, FrequencyCounter.
  • Strong communications skills and a team player
  • •Proficient in MS Office tools - Excel, Powerpoint
