The central Cyber Security Engineering Expert is fully globally responsible to develop, implement, maintain, improve and steer Cyber Security for critical engineering systems & applications, thereby following global standards like NIST or ISO27001 and fulfilling legal requirements like from NIS2.

Your new responsibilities:

• Protecting relevant applications beyond standard protection mechanisms and building up threat intelligence specifically relevant for R&D, while considering existing legacy footprint and future roadmaps.
• Scanning and funneling the security innovation sector, piloting, demonstrating and rolling out new sophisticated security solutions and concepts for R&D.
• Responsible to align the R&D specific security measures globally with all relevant stakeholders within and outside the organization
• Creating transparency on security maturity levels and deriving roadmaps to achieve future goals
• Co-designing engineering cyber security strategy and tactics to the value of our customers

Your profile:

• Degree in computer science, information security or related field/equivalent work experience
• Long term professional experience in the security sector, including, at best, practical experience as SW developer.
• Long term experience with applying and implementing technical and organizational security controls
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM or similar are an advantage
• Proven expertise in developing and implementing security strategies, tactics and projects in manufacturing corporations
• Proven experience and know-how with security standards, regulations and frameworks (e.g. B. ISO, CIS, GDPR, NIS2)
• Indirect leadership experience and inclusive leadership style
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills including triage thinking
• Fluent in English; German is an advantage.
