Vitesco Technologies is a global automotive technology company that develops and manufactures powertrain technologies for electric and hybrid vehicles. In the Division Powertrain Solutions we are seeking a talented applicant to join our company as Head of Account Management for customer BMW & Mercedes Benz AG. You will manage, plan and coordinate activities of sales development, to ensure that goals or objectives are fulfilled in line with our Vitesco Technologies values: Passionate, Partnering and Pioneering.
The Global Account Manager for BMW & Mercedes Benz is the worldwide sales representative for all commercial activities (incl. requests forqQuotation, claims, techdays, management meetings…) with all business areas for this account.
In this function you
- are responsible for the Customer Strategy:
- Elaborate a strategy by account for all areas
- Document and maintain a customer strategy booklet
- Conduct yearly reviews with the respective management
- Responsible for building customer and competitor intelligence
- lead the commercial activities at the customers:
- Develop an acquisition strategy, prepare negotiation scenario, and align target price
- Lead negotiations at the customer - provide advice to Account Management, Head of Segment Sales and Product Sales Management in the definition of a tactical plan
- Supervise for the elaboration of multi product quotations
- ensure a proper networking at different levels
- support EBIT Improvement
- coordinate quarterly business reviews with sub-segment manager, product manager, product sales manager and maintain the action plan
- establish quarterly account overview for the Powertrain Management Board
- conduct regular alignment meetings with the global Account Management team
- lead the Account Manager and Customer Technical Manager for the global account
Your basics qualifications :
- Long time working experience in sales, engineering or business development in the automotive industry
- Several years of experience leading teams in applicable field of work
- At least Bachelor’s degree (engineering / business preferred)
- Demonstratable professional experience leading teams to develop effective commercial strategy on high volume, high revenue programs
- Proven track record of acquiring new business and maintaining high levels of profitability and customer satisfaction
- Business fluent german and english language skills written and spoken
Preferred Qualification :
- Strong connections to the customers management team
- Experience negotiating terms related to: commercial framework agreements, general terms and conditions, commercial settlements, intellectual property rights
- International experience: Working abroad and working within international teams
- Knowledge of the customers supplier systems and processes
