The transformation to battery electric vehicles is by no means the only big change in the automotive industry nowadays. Especially in the area to SW, digitalization, cloud services etc. we have a revolution in front of us. To tackle this challenge, we need you to strengthen our team.

 

As System-on-Chip engineer (d/f/m) you will drive within our Electrification Solutions Innovation team new computing electronic technology and concepts for “Software defined Vehicle” (SDV) / Software Oriented Architecture (SOA) related to EE Hardware. You will cover a wide range of activities and support our organisation to prepare innovative solutions. You will also be responsible for interacting with suppliers and customers.

 

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and Drive innovation around System-on-Chip advanced electronic technology of future generations vehicle control units.
  • Drive “proof of concepts” (PoC) for new electronic design based on the instruction set architectures RISC-V or ARM
  • Technical guidance by analysing requirements and technical documentation (from customers, suppliers, internal stakeholders, organisations)
  • Align on technical aspects with the experts from other disciplines (System, Software)
  • Plan and coordinate technical work packages such as measurements and technical analysis.
  • Elaboration of technical analysis report and presenting to expert communities as well customers

 

Your Qualifications

  • University degree in a relevant field (computer science, electrical engineering , physics or telecommunication, informatics) or comparable, master’s degree beneficial
  • Profound knowledge and long-term experience in Micro-Processor / System-on-Chip technology based on RISC as Intellectual Property (IP) as well as Open-Source principles and their digital ECO-system.
  • Experience in µProcessor and µController Architectures.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor design- and manufacturing technologies
  • Good understanding of Functional Safety and Security concept
  • Fluent English language skills (written and spoken); German language skills beneficial.
  • Collaborate in networks internally and externally and drive partnership within Vitesco Technologies, suppliers and universities.
