The FTZ/Traffic Dept. coordinates and directs all in-bound and out-bound goods, provides internal and external resources necessary to meet and fulfill the inventory levels for the Distribution Center and Juarez Facilities. Handles all related duties to comply with U.S. and Foreign shipping requirements.
Job Duties
- Responsibilities include managing and controlling Freight Cost. Handling the compliance in the Foreign Trade Zone as well as maintaining inventory levels at >99% for international vendors.
- Works within the plant or entity as the interface for the Export Control function. He/she is the guarantor for the plant or entity concerned that the internal Export Control guidelines are well applied, while supporting whse. and plant management to ask for export control licensing when applicable and provides advice regarding the signature of external documentation.
- Implements and ensures compliance to freight strategy for the Juarez Facilities, while constantly looking for savings projects and opportunities. Helps on freight budget requirements preparation and assures budgets are met.
- Coordinates activities with the broker so raw material will be received with the avoidance of duties/designated carriers pick up material and verify quantities are accurate while assuring proper training to the team is provided so data integrity in SAP and CBP systems is accomplished, also assures all raw materials are labeled and stored properly.
- Responsible for FTZ/CBP accurate record keeping. Communicates with U.S Customs on material issues and ensures that material requirements are addressed and monitors warehouse FTZ Inventory to assure inventory accuracy level requirements are met.
- Works together with Brokers to assure their record keeping is accurate.
- For outbound shipments, he/she is responsible for compliance for FTZ paperwork going out to manufacturing plants assuring product integrity and quantities accuracy while coordinates paperwork for special shipments including customs documents and assures the best options and carriers are used, also helps customer service to follow incoterms.
Job Requirements

- Necessary Educational Background: Academic degree desired (Bachelor or higher), preferably in international business management or customs related.
- Necessary Professional Experience: Typically, 2 years Engineering, Project Management, SCM / Logistics, Sales, Finance or Operations role and/or 3 years in warehousing or similar position
- Necessary Knowledge: SAP medium to expert level, knowledge in all areas of warehouse processes, procedures, and work instructions. Experience in working with FTZ and CBP
- Able to work under pressure.
- Passionate/Partnering/Pioneering
- Experience in international/intercultural working environments
- Fully bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
