We are expanding our team and are currently looking for a Material Compliance Manager (m/f/d) who will consult and support Vitesco Technologies locations worldwide in all aspects of material compliance. This includes monitoring, analyzing, and improving processes and tools around substance prohibitions/restrictions, but also the internal consulting on general product-related environmental legal requirements for the automotive and non-automotive business.  

 

Your new responsibilities:

 

  • Implementation of Material Compliance in the product design, processes, and tools
  • Develop and conduct improvement projects for upcoming requirements
  • Internal and external advice on the development of environmentally friendly products
  • Supporting and supervising IMDS reporting processes (Focus Supplier Data) and improving worldwide MDS data quality by improving internal processes, tools, and governance
  • Leading role in the further development and improvement of Material Compliance Reporting tools
  • Internal and external communication around environmentally friendly product development
  • Support in team coordination of related tasks
  • Maintaining network and contact with the relevant internal experts, but also customers, suppliers, and other functional experts
  • Representation of the organization in national and international committees, associations, and industry boards (e.g., CLEPA / VDA).

 

Your profile:

 

  • Completed degree in Environmental Engineering, Material Engineering or comparable qualification
  • Long term professional experience in the field of Material Compliance for automotive, for non-automotive desirable
  • Expert knowledge of material compositions and use of potentially critical substances
  • Knowledge of environmental laws, development processes, as well as product-related technology and industry knowledge
  • Confident use of MS Office programs and basic knowledge of SAP, CAMDS
  • Advanced knowledge of IMDS
  • Project Management / Leadership skills and knowledge of management systems
  • Fluent English language skills written and spoken
  • Communication skills with internal and external functions and departments
  • Ability to further develop networking structures and foster Best Practice sharing
