Our Seguin, TX location is seeking a Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. Are you ready to shape tomorrow with us? THE POSITION Responsible for performing advanced troubleshooting of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, computer systems, custom machine software, and vision systems. Maintain production equipment: includes repairs, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and spare part replacement identification. · Possess advanced knowledge of machine line operations, electrical configurations, and preventative maintenance. Including screen printer, surface mount machines, reflow ovens, x-ray, conveyors control, final assembly, ICT handlers, adept robotics, paste verification, and scanners. · Possess advanced troubleshooting skills for electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical, computer systems, custom machine software, and vision systems. Troubleshoot extremely complex machine, and procedure malfunctions to root cause. · Uses schematics, machine specifications, manuals and standard operating procedures to determine tasks to be performed. · Ability to mentor, develop training syllabus, and train Jr. Technicians in proper machine maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques. · Continuous improvement of the maintenance process · Work with engineers and managers for coordination of line moves and installation. · Experience with refurbishment of machines to restore to factory specifications. · Assists in the development and refinement of preventative maintenance procedures for production and new technology equipment to meet plant standards and production goals. · Assists in the design and implementation of special projects for operational efficiency improvement. · Assists in performing machine calibrations on many machine types and parts to achieve optimal machine performance and functionality. · Assists in performing machine process characterizations to meet plant performance and quality goals. · Support efforts to meet line product DPMO, OEE, and Scrap goals and equipment MTBF goals. · Participate in the advance process and quality planning (APQP) activities for new equipment. · Be proactive and promote teamwork between the technicians and production operators. · Interface; (support, assist, negotiate, consult) with: Engineers, peers, operators, supervision and management. · Understands and complies with all procedures pertaining to a given work environment; assists in designing improvements to the work environment. · Set an example for all in work ethics: skill level, application of said skills, and communications. · Documentation of changes to processes and equipment. · Maintain a proactive stance rather than re-active in dealing with equipment and process. · Excellent mechanical ability is essential regarding understanding of mechanics and troubleshooting. · Knowledgeable with using a computer program to control an electronic or electro-mechanical device. · Programming familiarity and use of various software packages. · Ability to read and interpret blueprints & electrical schematics in equipment manuals. · Able to design complex circuits for control devices or other similar applications. Basic Qualifications · Associates of Applied Science in Electronics or other technical degree or equivalent military training. · 3+ years repair or maintenance experience · Troubleshooting electronic and electro-mechanical systems · Ability to read and interpret electronic and pneumatic schematics Preferred Qualifications · Excellent mechanical ability is essential regarding understanding of mechanics and troubleshooting. · Knowledgeable with using a computer program to control an electronic or electro-mechanical device. · Programming familiarity and use of various software packages. · Ability to read and interpret blueprints & electrical schematics in equipment manuals. · Able to design complex circuits for control devices or other similar applications. PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS (travel, lifting restrictions, etc.) · Required to lift up to 28 pounds unassisted, · Must be able to stand for periods up to 12 hrs. · Must be able to push, pull (racks), reach, twist, turn, stoop, walk, and stand for 12 hours |
