Full Job Description
This position is responsible for maintaining production environmental chambers to achieve established production goals consistent with ISO 9001, Quality, and Safety standards. The Facilities Environmental Chamber Technician also supports all facilities related maintenance and operations within assigned area of responsibility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Facilities Supervisor with activities in the Facility Maintenance department related to HVAC maintenance operations, environmental chamber calibrations, and equipment layout changes.
- Execute environmental chamber preventative maintenance plans according to SAP schedules. Update and create new maintenance plans in SAP.
- Attend to production downtime action item requests and improve equipment reliability. Prepare and present work order KPI reports.
- Maintain equipment spare parts inventory and refrigerant usage.
- Manage the facilities ODP refrigerants standards and execute related projects.
- Perform required self-inspections of facility systems and programs including routine inspections of all HVAC equipment. Update work instructions and other related procedure documents in IMT.
- Maintain environmental chamber calibrations according to standard frequency schedules.
- Collaborate directly with quality and product engineers on new product launch projects. Support Industrial Engineers on plant layout projects.
- Ability to work with operations and facilities for building performance (humidity & temp controls)
- Work directly with equipment suppliers on service requests and new equipment purchases.
Qualifications and Abilities:
- Proficient use of Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, & Outlook)
- Proficient use of SAP
- Background in Preventative and Predictive Maintenance
- Experience in maintaining Thermotron and Tenney environmental chambers
- Able to read electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics
- Understand electrical and environmental codes
- Understanding of PLC troubleshooting
- 3+ years experience with building management and/or industrial equipment maintenance (Preferred)
- HVAC / EPA 608 Certification / Electrical license (Preferred)
- Associate Degree (Preferred)
Job Requirements
- Ability to perform essential duties of job description
- 3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment (Preferred)
- Associates degree in related field (Preferred)
