Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Elicit system level requirements from stake holder requests
  • Develop system design specification at component and subcomponent level
  • Describes the relationship between the system elements and the software
  • Specifies the design for each required system element, consideration is given to the system requirements
  • Mapping of requirements to system elements
  • Description of the operation modes of the system components (startup, shutdown, sleep mode, diagnosis mode, etc.)
  • Description of the dependencies among the system components regarding the operation modes
  • Description of the dynamic behavior of the system and the system components
  • Interface with customer to understand system requirements
  • Works with multiple disciplines within the organization to ensure the completeness of the system
  • Works with global platform teams on learning, improving the existing system designs
  • Troubleshoot with the teams to identify root causes customer reported issues

Knowledge and Capabilities

  • Experience in the evaluation of system designs,
  • Understands the use, boundary conditions and fields of application of systems
  • Understands system SW and EE interfaces,
  • Understands standard SW and standard EE
  • Understands development methods and tools
  • Ability to recognize weaknesses and risks,
  • Ability to analyze problems (with due allowance for the SW / EE) and formulate corresponding solutions,
  • Ability to abstract and simplify,
  • Knowledge of system integration,
  • Knowledge of functional safety, Security and Privacy

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Knowledge in Battery Management Systems / Electrification
