As a Data Protection Counsel in Vitesco Technologies Holding China Co., Ltd. you will:
>Implementation of a data protection management system
>Development and further refinement of concept papers for data protection organization as well as coordination and monitoring of internal data protection processes in close alignment with the central Data Protection Office
>Act as 1st contact for local authorities.
>Provide information and advise in case of local changes in law or relevant policy changes to data protection coordinator (DPC) and Data Protection Office (DPO)
>Support the joint development of DP-processes and strategies from a legal perspective
>Support local Data Protection Coordinators in legal data protection related topics (2nd-Level-Support)
>Long-term: other juridical work assigned and contribution to part of the Chinese legal team.
Qualifications:
>Passed PRC Bar Exam with solid working knowledge of aforementioned subject areas.
>Bachelor law degree, additional international legal degree is a plus.
>Minimum of 5 years with a reputable law firm or other in-house position, with rich experience in data and privacy matters.
>Strong command of the details of relevant laws and regulations but with an ability to make matters understandable and actionable for the company management.
>Fluency in both written and spoken English and Mandarin is a must.
>Desire to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
>A creative problem solver who is open to new ideas and new approaches.
