Senior Product Mechanical Architecture HVBOX

Your main responsibilities will include:

Tech Cluster Power Electronics (PE) develops pioneering elements for the energy transformation in new energy vehicles and as the environmental conditions impose similar challenges on drivetrain products. In this position you take over the responsibility of Product ME Architecture for HVBOX in China.

• Leading the advanced base product development to ensure ME technological readiness and cost competitiveness for the business of HV energy conversion products in China.
• Build Chinese customer technical intimacy. Be responsible to transfer China market technology trend into product definition in China autonomously.
• Be responsible for ME architect design, detail design in OBC/DCDC/PDU or Multiple-in-One of new energy vehicle e-Powertrain, able to propose cost effective mechanical design with balance of BOM vs. manufacturing and reliability.
• Connection to VT global base development of energy conversion for mechanical technology roadmap and activities synergy.
• Connection to China subcomponent supplier chain related to OBC/DCDC/PDU application.
• Key contribute for customer technical acquisition.
• Coordinates communication activities and customer relations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support effective problem solving for project in development and in mass production.

Job Requirements:

• Master or Doctor degree in Electrical/Power electronics or mechanical related engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in R&D for serial applications in the power supply product.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in OBC/DCDC/PDU area for automotive with strong cost mindset.
• Profound knowledge about Chinese automotive market and OBC/DCDC product, supplier chain and future evolution.
• Automotive R&D Methods&Processes, Structured Problem-Solving skills.
• Preferably vast experience in powertrain electrification or vehicle charging regulation.
• Experience in leading of international teams/ Work experience abroad preferred.
