Responsibility for System Test Management activities and work products inside the assigned projects. This includes support for System Test Engineers and System Test Environment Engineers within project. The position contributes to budget and project planning by estimating the needs for System Test Activities (e.g. resources, test equipment, etc.).


Responsibility System Test Manager (STTM) for assigned projects:


  • Being main contact person for testing;
  • Ensuring traceability between requirements/interfaces, test specifications and test results;
  • Planning of all test activities (scheduling, estimating and tracking of the activities of Test Engineers and Test Environment engineers); this includes initiate the creation of the test specification, ensure preparation, implementation and execution of tests, monitor and review test results and check end and exit criteria;
  • Reviewing of the test basis;
  • Selecting appropriate tools, methods and equipment for testing;
  • Developing appropriate metrics to determine and monitor the progress of testing within the assigned project;
  • Defining and update system test strategy;
  • Providing process documents assigned to STTM (e.g. System Test Plan, System Test Summary Report etc.);
  • Supporting writing and reviewing other process documents (e.g., verification & validation plan, engineering environment specification, subsystem test plans etc.);




  • Ensure ASPICE compliance by working according the process and relevant standards;
  • Support process development by giving feedback on ASPICE results and identified process weaknesses;
  • Support FSM review by providing necessary information and join the assessment as main contact for testing;


Offering support for System Test Engineers and System Test Environment Engineers:


  • Through the planning of the work packages (definition of content and target date, monitoring implementation);
  • Through experience and know-how;
  • Through analysing skill gaps and suggestion of training measures;
  • By providing input for performance evaluation by disciplinary supervisor;


Provide the System Test related budget estimation to the assigned projects:


  • By planning all activities and needed equipment for System Test;
  • By monitoring System Test budget and request increase, whenever needed;
