General Information:

As part of your role of an Environment, Safety & Health Specialist you will be responsible for planning, implementing and enforcing the organization's policies and procedures. The ESH Specialist will be taking ownership of workplace safety programs and may train staff on the awareness of proper policies and procedures and their impact on business activities.

Your Key responsibilities:

• Be responsible to inform managers about all aspects of occupational health and safety, environmental protection, firefighting and prevention.

• Offer support in the process of monitoring compliance with current ESH legislation, with Vitesco's internal regulations and to provide expertise on how this legislation can be met

• Is responsible to insure continuous improvement of environment, occupational health and safety 

• Establish, implement and maintain local Environment management system according to ISO14001, legal requirements, internal rules.

• Implement, maintain and develop Occupational H&S MS in accordance with the local legal requirements and internal regulations of the corporation.

• Perform analysis of ESH aspects in order to set ESH programs, objectives and targets.

• Define and monitor ESH programs, local ESH objectives and targets.

• Develop and maintain local standards in the field of Environmental and waste management.

• Be responsible to assess compliance with occupational health and safety as well as environmental protection standards and regulations when new techniques/equipment are introduced and to advise on how such standards and regulations can be met.

• Prepare specific ESH instructions according to environmental protection & labor safety and health regulations related to workplace characteristics.

• Monitor and update Corrective and preventive action plan CPAP.

• Participate in internal and external audits regarding Environmental and OH&S management systems.

• Follow the fulfillment of the measures disposed by the authorities (environment &work inspectors) on the occasion of their visits.

• Be responsible to organize and perform regular trainings for local staff and external contractors regarding the environmental protection and occupational safety and health within location Timisoara and Sibiu.

• Increase awareness of local staff with respect to their ESH related duties.

• Prepare technical documentation necessary for the purpose of informing and educating employees on environmental regulations and SSM trainings (training materials, tests).

• Offer support in the fulfilment of requirements placed upon the company’s safety organization.  

• Offer support in identification of emergencies and establish emergency response plans.

Your Qualifications:

• Technical studies: Master or Bachelor degree in Environmental engineering, Safety engineering or equivalent;

• English advanced level; 

• Knowledge of Environment, Safety and Health, ISO 14001 specific legislation, Waste Management training course;

• Professional industry experience:

• Good organizational skills;

• Communication skills;

• Occupational Safety & Health training course;
