We are looking for a new STPL colleagues in our local team .The System Technical Project Leader (STPL) is the chief engineer of a system project. The STPL is responsible for the technical results (for system engineering including components). As such the STPL authorizes the technical system release. The STPL and the project team deliver results in quality and in time, all to highest stakeholder satisfaction.


As Technichal Project Leader, you'll be involved in:


  • Identification and distribution of all Stakeholder Requirements, e.g. Customer Requirement Specifications, Legal Standards, internal Standards;
  • Organization and participation in the  technichal concept definition and release for products;
  • Manage and define the detailed project planning of technihcal development;
  • Ensure that the functionalit of the product are in line with the customer requirements;
  • Manage problem resolution and change management process including impacts to project timing, cost, overall risks;
  • Cooperate with international and interdisciplinary teams and synchronize with our internal customers;
  • Travel for technical workshops, for analysis or fixes at customer (side or at) production site in case production issues arise.


 Main  responsibilities:


  • The STPL is responsible for the technical steering and the results (quality, timing) of the system project. This includes the technical aspects of included system components;
  • The STPL authorizes the technical system release;
  • Responsible for consistency of all technical activities within a system project (including electronic and/or mechanical components), e.g. requirements engineering / management and test management;
  • Release all system engineering work packages as part of the "Engineering Release" according the engineering processes;
  • Escalates early enough to technical management if technical targets are unresolvably compromised. Has the duty to refuse technical system release if product functional quality is not met;
  • Plans, agrees, schedules and monitors system engineering work packages and deliverables;
  •  Makes available system and software deliveries (@prototype stages, @SOP and/or manages changes during series production);
  •  Ensure proper use of appropriate Change Management processes;
  •  Follows-up that all legal aspects will be considered in the engineering work packages (e.g. AECD, intellectual property);
  • Defines and tracks the system engineering master plan;
  • Promotes re-use of platform solutions;
  • Responsible for System Design Specification (including System Requirement Spec and definition of System Architecture);
  • Assures the availability of agreed system documentations (FMEA, ISO26262...);
  •  Monitors the technical documents defined in the configuration items list. Actively manages configuration items assigned to STPL;
  • Assures technical problem resolutions (e.g. problem reports, A3/8D).


 A mentor will support you to stepwise take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes and organization.

You can be a perfect match to our team if you have:


  • Graduated in a relevant field (i.e. Electronics, Computer science, Automatics, Electrical Engineering, Medical Bioengineering, Mathematics or Physics);
  • Knowledge of embedded systems, Powertrain and engine system knowledge (e.g. controller, air path, diagnosis, exhaust after treatment;
  • Understanding of system control engineering, electronics and physics;
  • State-of-the-art system test methods and tool know-how (HIL & bench, engine & vehicle testing);
  • Capability to analyze technical problems;
  • Good writing, reading and speaking English skills;
  • Analytical skills and a structured manner of work;
  • Office Tools (WinWord, Excel, Visio), Planning Tools (MSPE), Engineering Tools (IMS).
