Job description:

Analyze engineered components for probable costs of realization at potential suppliers. Consider volume, quality, price development and strategic influences.

Get cost model of the parts in investigation by choosing best fitting technologies and  processes based on the existing documentation cost data bases and on own requests for invest and tooling.

Align the supplier up to top management with the costs calculated as a base for price negotiations and to guide cost reduction potentials at the supplier or at the inhouse design.

Discuss and get an agreement on status or actions with the engineering departments and align cost reduction measures from internal to external stakeholders.

Drive, initiate and run lean and cost improvement programs which leads to process changes and cost reduction direct at the supplier worldwide.

Responsible to control and report the potential found based on documented calculation and negotiated results. Drive agreements based on calculation results with strategic purchasing.

Maintain the cost data base for automotive technologies and supporting processes including necessary tooling effort. Able to build parametric cost models on related technology and processes.

 

Job Requirements:

Studied mechanical or electronic engineering combined with minimum 3-5 years experiences related to production or process know how.

Preferred: > 3 years of experience in cost analysis of products or > 3 years experiences in production planning within machining area or tool shop.

Advanced project experiences.                                                                                                                              

Preferred: project experiences related to manufacturing planner or supplier quality management

Basic leadership experiences.

Interculture experiences and capabilities to operate within international teams.                                                             

Willingness to travel world wide (~20%).

Fluent English language skills (written and spoken)

Comprehensive skills in using the usual MS Office programs with focus on excel..

Personal drive and occurance to achieve sustainable results.

Negotiation skills goal oriented
