The Validation Engineer (“VE”) is representative of the Vitesco Laboratories (“VTL”) and is primary interface in front of the customer (BUs).

The VE is responsible to ensure that all tasks required for engineering verification and validation testing [e.g quotation, qualification documents, planning, reporting…) are successfully completed throughout the project life cycle. 


Core Responsibilities : 


Project Management

  • Coordinates the tests scheduling in close cooperation with project teams and the different involved Labs (local Lab, other VT Lab and if relevant external Lab) and continuously updates.
  • Provides parts to internal lab or ensure shipment to another lab (VTL or External).


Technically, on Reliability scope

  • Masters all REL equipment capabilities and limits.
  • Creates quotation for reliability validations, based on BU’s requests.
  • Reviews customer specifications and develops or co-develops the project Qualification Test Plans and Test Flows to ensure tests meets objectives (the plan considers both OEM and International Standards as well as prior lessons learned).  Provides expertise to meet design and customer requirements.
  • Seeks and implements opportunities to eliminate unnecessary/redundant testing. 
  • Ensure availability of all needed equipment for test setup (cables, handling, test modes, …).  
  • Checks mounted setups or make complex setups (ex: Lifetime Test).
  • Follows test during execution.
  • Analyzes first level of issues (distinguish between equipment and product issues).
  • Create Anomaly Reports.
  • Analyzes complex situations, interprets results, recommends modifications and testing leading to robust design and testing solutions.



  • Provides regular validation updates to BU customer during validation [test status, incidents].
  • Manages project reports and data in database / tools.
  • Reviews and approves corrective action report requests (8D, Incident Report).
  • Ensures the completeness of readiness review and test reports.
  • Report relevant KPI related to REL activity.



  • Defines or applies all Vitesco procedures, methods, and work instructions applicable to his job function.
  • Leads continuous improvement activities and coordinates the tasks necessary to resolve systemic problems and/or problem areas. Creates Lessons Learned.


Additional Responsibilities :


  • At the lab start up, the VE will play the role of the technician until the workload requires a newcomer.
  • Leads cross functional, cross organizational initiatives to develop the most complex standards reflecting internal and external customer requirements as well as changing industry standards
  • Collaborates globally to ensure maximum reuse of process and procedures within the Vitesco Labs organization
  • Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems not covered by existing procedures or practices independently
  • Mentors cross-functionally and cross-organizationally, providing technical and process expertise applicable to complex test equipment and strategies
  • Provides technical training to test operators


Required Qualifications :


  • Engineer degree in Mechanical or Generalist
  • Min. 5 years’ experience in defining Qualification Test plans and requirements
  • Knowledge Experience with interpreting and applying OEM and International Qualification (DV/PV) test requirements
  • English mandatory
  • Autonomy, flexibility, openness for new topics
  • Experience in a team setting
  • Project management skills
  • Negotiation skills
