Responsibilities:

> Ensures that the tax calculation and tax reporting processes are established, recorded, and reported in compliance with the Hungarian statutory, fiscal regulations and corporate policies including Financial Reporting Manual

> Sets tax strategy and convert it to execution regarding general accounting and local requirements

> Ensures end-to-end VAT compliance, including preparation of VAT returns and other VAT related reports for European countries

> Reconciliation of direct & indirect tax balance sheet accounts

> Supports month-end closing procedure, VAT audits, ensures internal and external control processes

> Review periodic WHT returns and ensure their timely submissions with all necessary due payments

> Monitor that WHT has been applied, booked and paid according to the related rules and in a timely manner

> Preparation of all tax related reports according to local law requirements

> Ensures the accuracy of accounting records and financial statements in accordance with GAAP and in compliance with internal policies

> Proactive initiation and resolution of accounting issues, questions involving all required parties, ensuring continuous improvements in accounting

Requirements:

> Professional tax knowledge - VAT (CIT knowledge is an advantage)

> SAP FI knowledge

> Office software knowledge

> Communication skills, including presentation and negotiation techniques

> Degree in a relevant field

> Proactive, self-responsible way of working with high quality standards

> Good English language skills (written and spoken)
