This position is for the development of Vitesco owned ASICs and Functional Semiconductor Blocks.

Job description:

• Creating Layouts of ASICs (e.g. PMICs with safety monitoring, BLDC-drivers, IGBT drivers for electric drives, solenoid drivers)
• Creating layouts for a Vitesco owned ASIC block library.
• Close cooperation with the ASIC designers to generate the best possible layout considering design constraints.
• Close cooperation with the semiconductor suppliers, especially regarding design. Detailed delving into design and layout, to improve supplier quality.
• Supporting ASIC design team for ASICs developed at external design partners with layout expertise for layout optimization and review.
• Close cooperation with silicon foundries (e.g. GlobalFoundries, TSMC …) for exclusive Vitesco ASICs

Job requirements:

• Academic degree or technician in electrical engineering or equivalent
• Long-time professional experience in layout and different layout techniques
• Knowledge and experience in doing layouts in different semiconductor processes (e.g. GF, TSMC, …)
• Project experience, especially related to ASIC Design
• Fluent proficiency in spoken and written English language, German appreciated
• Good communication skills and ability to work in intercultural teams, personal initiative, high engagement
