The position requires responsibility for test process equipment, both hardware and software.

 

Essential Functions: (Individual tasks, duties and responsibilities of the position accounting for highest % of time)
  • Work closely with OEMs on projects to support existing and new equipment, including service contracts and equipment qualifications
  • Team with internal Vitesco teams to optimize product design and quality
  • Manage concurrent projects to accomplish required team, department, plant and corporate goals
  • Mentor technicians to achieve team projects and goals
  • Generate reports using production data for quality and performance evaluation
  • Monitor equipment hardware performance for opportunities to improve, including calibrations
  • Monitor equipment software performance (cycle time, first pass yield, false calls, escapes, etc) to achieve plant/production targets
  • Develop software for new products from technical documents such as schematics and specifications.
  • Interact with design, production and quality teams on process improvements
  • Train operators and technicians on proper operation and maintenance of the inspection machines
  • Maintain OEM software, including backups and updates
  • Support Vitesco global TechNet & CCM teams
  • Support other Vitesco facilities on projects and problems
  • Team with operators, technicians and engineers to improve screen print, SMD and PTH processes based on data and observations from the inspection machines

 

Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

- 0-3+ years’ experience in an Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering role.

- Legal Authorization to work in U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future for this job opening.

 

Desired additional skills and experience:

- Knowledge and experience with C programming language.

- Understanding and experience with measurement systems and PXI instruments.

- Knowledge and experience with NI TestStand.
