Our Quality department is pivotal in ensuring customer satisfaction by focusing on meeting customer requirements and mitigating problems utilizing extensive data and resources within the facility. Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish direct and frequent communication with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs: Ford, GM, Stellantis, Cummins, etc.).
  • Collaborate in the development and launch of new, world-class products and processes.
  • Engage with international partners to find optimal solutions to problems and make improvements to parts and processes.
  • Implement changes concerning process, components, and product design improvements.
  • Utilize advanced data gathering software and techniques to solve and prevent problems related to process design, product design, and software.
  • Enhance overall line yields and reduce scrap costs through innovation, quality improvement, and the incorporation of new technologies.
  • Develop and document continuous improvement projects to optimize quality and reduce costs and non-value-added work.
  • Collaborate with Customer and Design teams on new technologies and advancements in the automotive industry, including Electric Vehicle systems.
  • Formulate audit plans, process routings, mistake-proofing, and controls to prevent defects.
  • Supervise and oversee Inspectors, Product Line Analyzers, and other staff within the assigned area.
  • Teach, train, and coach staff on proper techniques, quality initiatives, and improvement opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering: Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial or related field.
  • 2 plus years experience in engineering & quality 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Minitab, Teams).
  • Willingness to assist and support after-hours equipment and process issues remotely or in person as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; able to break down complex problems into manageable, assignable actions.
  • Ability to work with diverse cultures, work styles, and motivation levels.
  • Language skills: Fluent English is mandatory; Spanish is preferred.

Preferred:

  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Strong electrical aptitude.
  • Experience/knowledge in problem-solving techniques/tools.
  • Familiarity with Quality core tools such as FMEA, MSA.
